Orpheus 21, Musics for Life and Dignity

ORPHEUS 21 is an intercultural project of pedagogical, educational, playful and creative action in favour of young refugees and immigrants (of any nationality and origin) with a musical knowledge or talent with the aim of helping them to improve their knowledge by creating favourable conditions for them to make music and share it among themselves and with other young people from different ethnic and cultural groups.

This project is subsidised by the European programme REFUGEE INTEGRATION PROJECTS of the European Executive Agency (EACEA) and is carried out in collaboration with four institutions: la Fundació Centre Internacional de Música Antiga, la Saline Royale d’Arc et Senan (France) and the organisation COOP’AGIR – Coopérer et Agir pour l’emploi, l’hébergement et le logement (France) and l’ICORN (International Cities of Refuge Network).

The project is supported by the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation, the Orange Foundation and the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations. With the collaboration of: Taller de Músics (Barcelona), Festival de Saint-Denis et les Restos du Coeur, Théâtre Edwige Feuillère de Vesoul, Oudanantes, Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Havre (France); Train of Hope e.V. (Dortumund), Ausländerrat e.V. (Dresden), Kultur vor Ort e.V. (Bremen) i Radio Harstad (Harstad, Norway).
